Why is this important?
By being held in cells or dorms with 50 or more other inmates they are not given a chance to survive. They are being sentenced to death. When the virus penetrates the walls of a prison the results will be catastrophic. Its inhumane to keep them locked away knowing that its just a matter of time before the virus runs rampant through the prison system. If we treat them as less than human they will act as such. They need to know they are valued as much as any other person if we want to see a change in them.
