Appoint Activist Brittany Oliver to the Baltimore City Commission for Women

Appoint activist Brittany T. Oliver to the Baltimore City Commission for Women.
Why is this important?
When Sojourner Truth asked the rhetorical question, "Ain't I a Woman?" people were moved to action. When Harriet Tubman declared, "I can't die but once" you knew to take her serious. Likewise, when you hear Brittany Oliver, state "Not Without Black Women", you know you should check your agenda. Throughout history Black Women have created and turned the pages of social norms when it seemed like the story had been written. A page is turning in Baltimore and Brittany is at the helm.
63.3% of the community in Baltimore is Black, but 54.3% of that population are Black women. By placing Black women's issues at the forefront of social and policy movements, Brittany believes Baltimore can develop initiatives that will resolve the root causes of unrest that remain in our communities. From strong homes to strong communities, the solution is appointing homegrown women leaders who never forgot where they came from.
In 2018, Brittany Oliver wants more than thanks. She wants political power.
