We are standing in solidarity for the justice Miles and so many others deserve. Miles was a beloved member of our community.
Miles was so special, he was kind, and he had so much to offer. He was on a path to making so many important contributions - he had a positive impact on our lives, and was preparing to reach so many others. His untimely passing at the hands of a known criminal brought on by gun violence has left a void in all of our hearts.
We demand justice. Miles' brutal murder, while jarring, must be a catalyst for change. We must demand accountability in his honor.
Let us strive to make our community a safer and more equitable place. We stand together, a united voice against violence and hate, and we vow to work towards a world where every life is valued and every person is treated with dignity and respect.

Why is this important?
The stand your ground law has become a license to kill in the state of Florida. In this case all facts point to the killer/ Uber driver being the aggressor and should not have the right to claim “stand your ground” not just for Miles but also for the safety of our community. Not sending this case to the grand jury strips Miles of his rights and also gives the “ok” to kill without repercussions.
