SIGN THE PETITION TO FREE "MUMIA ABU JAMAL"NOW!
The WCG "21" Project and the National Black Contingency To FREE "MUMIA ABU JAMAL" NOW! has launched a major campaign and "direct action" initiative that focuses on specific matters relevant to the miscarriages of Justice, law enforcement and prosecutorial misconduct, much needed prison reform and related issues; with a particular focus on the ongoing civil and human rights violations of People of African descent in the United States.
While the mistreatment and inhumane practices inflicted upon Black People in America has been a day to day occurrence and reality, for centuries, one of the clear more recent, modern day, forms of unjust, terroristic, and governmental systemic racist practices enacted in the 20th century, that still has its remnants today in the 21st century, is the infamous COINTELPRO covert and overt operations that not only targeted, set up, falsely accused and incarcerated numerous Black (African American) groups, organizations and persons, but also directly or indirectly engaged in various forms of torture tactics and even the murder/assassination of Black civil rights advocates, activist, Freedom Fighters, resistance and Liberation leaders. With that said, we plight, case, and demand for the release of Mumia Abu Jamal is being brought forward front and center
Mumia Abu Jamal an award winning Journalist, Civil Fights and Human Rights Activist and Justice Advocate who, since the time of his teenage years, sha stood up to fight against the system of white supremacy and its fundamental systemic racism.

Why is this important?
After being incarcerated for 43 years for a crime he did not commit, (the killing of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner) with 30 of those years being on death row, Mumia Abu Jamal has continued to raise awareness and bring greater attention to a variety of socio-political issues and concerns, internationally, by way of his radio commentaries, the writing of more than 10 books, news oriented interviews, etc. Though he has suffered numerous medical challenges, such as Hepatitis C, Diabetes, COVID 19, Congested Heart Failure and Sorosis of the Liver, Bro. Mumia rarely writes or talks about his own struggles be it health related matters or the struggle for freedom.
In 2018 after hearing arguments and reviewing new evidence Philadelphia Judge Leon Tucker rendered his opinion that among other things cited that another Judge (Ron Castille) failure to recuse himself from previous court proceedings undermined justice. Thus, as indicated in his brief, Judge Tucker stated and ruled that Bro. Mumia should have a new trial. However, a few years later Judge Lucretia Clemons overturned Judge Tucker's ruling thereby denying Mumia a new trial.
Given the clear and undisputable history of COINTELPRO, the obvious judiciary misconduct and racist practices and the fact that approximately 15 people who were charged with the same or related crime have been released (after serving 35-40 or so years in prison) surely the time has come for Mumia Abu Jamal to be freed.
It is now up to the "POWER of The People" to put the proper wheels in motion that will not only raise the bar that will expose and remedy the intentional violations of Mumia's constitutional and human rights but also raise the frequencies for Freedom.
