Justice for Antonio!

Police have shot and killed another Black man, this time in Memphis, Tennessee. Antonio Jackson, a 27 year-old man, had his life cut short by gunfire from a Shelby County Sheriffs Office deputy.
We are demanding full transparency from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office: we must know the name of the officer responsible for this brutal attack. We, the people of this community, must also be allowed to see all bodycam footage, as well as any other footage of the incident.
We are demanding that the officer be held liable for this attack. Killer cops must be held accountable by the state, by their department, and by the community.
We are demanding the dissolution of the Multi-Agency Gang Unit.

Why is this important?
Transparency, Accountability, and Change. These are simple demands. But in a country such as ours, in a time such as this - simple demands sometimes take huge movements. The struggle for Black Liberation and the struggle against police crimes will demand a huge movement.
We must band together and affirm with all of our actions: Black Lives Matter. The police force must stop gunning down Black people. Black bodies are sacred. Black people deserve to feel safe in their homes, on the street, in their cars, and in their skin.
This is the struggle of a lifetime - a chance to win real change and start a movement.
The people need to know the name of this killer cop, the people need to know that they are safe because this killer cop is behind bars, and the people need to know that the occupying force known as the Multi-Agency Gang Unit will not continue to terrorize Black and Brown communities in Memphis with little accountability.
