Moms of Black Boys United seeks justice for KaJuan Raye - Chicago IL

We, M.O.B.B. United for Social Change, are shocked and outraged by Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Jones’ decision to place the killer of yet another Black son, KaJuan Raye, on paid administrative leave. Attorney General Madigan, we are asking that you request the Department of Justice's assistance in investigating this case and deliver justice for KaJuan swiftly.

On Thursday November 24th, a day reserved for Thanksgiving in our country, the family of KaJuan Raye lost a son. Though Superintendent Johnson quickly called for an investigation of the incident, the reported findings have compelled us to insist that you immediately request the Department of Justice to intervene and conduct a thorough investigation. We also ask that the sergeant responsible for KaJuan’s death be immediately charged.

M.O.B.B. United for Social Change is an international group of more than 165,000 concerned mothers of Black boys and men. Our members come from various races and demographics, from coast to coast in the United States and beyond. Our organization was born following the death of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge and Philando Castile in Minnesota and we demand an end to the unjustified killing of Black boys and men in America.

Why is this important?

According to the facts in the initial investigation, as shared by Superintendent Johnson, no weapon was found on the teen or anywhere on the scene.

We, M.O.B.B. United for Social Change and Chicagoans are demanding accountability for what clearly seems to be a criminal act.
