Remove White Supremacist Names from all Duvall schools

Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida has 3 public schools that still bear the name of white supremacists, whom committed treason against the United States, and fought to continue slavery. We would like the school board to change the names of these schools IMMEDIATELY. The next school board meeting is June 16th. The names are Robert E Lee High School, Stonewall Jackson Middle School, and Stonewall Jackson elementary school.

Why is this important?

Children and young adults should have a sense of pride and love for their schools. It should be a place they feel encouraged to learn and grow within their community. In a movement to break down systemic racism, we need to stop celebrating and honoring these shameful oppressors. The real shame is that it’s taken this long to understand this. We won’t quit until this is achieved.... not just in Florida, but every state as well.
