New Yorkers Demand the Release of Police Dashcam Footage Showing the Death of Andrew Kearse

New York State Attorney General Barbara Underwood should release the dashcam footage of Andrew’s last moments in the police car immediately.

Democratic nominee for Attorney General, Letitia James, should publicly go on record that she will release the footage, when she wins her race in the General Election.

Please sign the petition and also email the Attorney General's office to demand release of the footage: [email protected].

Why is this important?

Let’s remember his name - Andrew Kearse. On May 11, 2017, Andrew Kearse, a Bronx native was apprehended by Schenectady Police Department for reckless driving. After suffering injuries during his arrest, dashcam video footage shows that Andrew pleaded for medical attention and repeatedly warned that he couldn’t breathe for a total 70 times. Andrew died in the back of the police car, where his cries for help went ignored.

Andrew left behind young kids and a widow, Angelique Negroni-Kearse, who is now asking for public support in demanding:

a) New York State Attorney General Barbara Underwood should release the dashcam footage of Andrew’s last moments in the police car immediately.

b) Democratic nominee for Attorney General, Letitia James, should publicly go on record that she will release the footage, when she wins her race in the General Election.

All signatures to this petition constitute a collective appeal for peace and #JusticeForAndrewKearse by New Yorkers who recognize that
peace for the Kearse family cannot come with the continued withholding of critical evidence. Black Lives Matter!

How it will be delivered

After the petition has reached 10,000 signatures, we will print them out and hand deliver them to the Attorney General's office.
