To: Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot

Justice for Quincy Blakely

Honorable John Creuzot-We The People from the collective states of the United States of America, are demanding the assault on a public servant case number F-1518020 pending in the Dallas County 194th Judicial District Court of Texas, Honorable Ernest White Presiding, be dropped in the interest of Justice… Just as the resisting arrest (case number M1518187) and unlawfully carrying a firearm by a license holder while intoxicated (case number M1518188), arising out of the same incident were dropped, the assault charge needs to be dropped as well because the video of the traffic stop is clear that Quincy Blakely is an innocent man, who committed none of the crimes he is alleged to have committed.

The viral video on social media https://www.facebook.com/quincydblakely that has over 22 MILLION views, proves that Quincy Blakely did NOT assault the Deputy.

Quincy Blakely's rights were violated and Deputy Christopher Leon Smith filed a false "affidavit" to procure an unlawful arrest against a man that had the right to not do Deputy Christopher Smith a "favor" as requested in the video and step out of his car when he had not committed a crime. The only thing that had been determined within less than 60 seconds of the video of the traffic stop was that the travelers were black and Quincy Blakely was a licensed CHL holder, which neither of the two is a crime.

Quincy Blakely was pulled over for an alleged license plate light being out, and because he exercised his rights to not be seized from his car when he had not committed a crime, and he posed no threat, the Dallas County Deputy Christopher Leon Smith dragged him out of his car, assaulted Quincy Blakely and charged Quincy Blakely with trumped up charges, yet the Dallas County District Attorney’s office is still pursuing a false charge against a man that is clearly innocent. This is a gross miscarriage of justice.

In addition to there being no probable cause to make a traffic stop, there definitely was no probable cause to make a warrantless arrest for unlawful carrying a firearm by a license holder while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and assault on a public servant.

Far too often We The People have seen public servants abuse their discretion and power, and it is an obstruction of Justice to prosecute Quincy Blakely for a crime he did not commit. The public demands Justice for Quincy Blakely!!

The petition can be viewed at https://campaigns.organizefor.org/p/dropthecharge

Why is this important?

It is important this issue is addressed as Quincy Blakely's rights have been violated, and the public servants that were sworn to protect and uphold the law have failed Quincy Blakely and We The People will not allow this to be done and are demanding that the charge of assault on a pubic servant be dismissed with prejudice.

How it will be delivered

I plan to deliver the petition via mail and in person.
